OBITUARY: Emmett Rein

Emmett Warren Rein, the son of Louis and Matilda (Neuman) Rein, was born at Loup City, Nebraska, on June 21, 1904, and passed away at Lincoln, Nebraska, on February 24, 1991, at the age of 86 years, 8 months, and 3 days.

He grew up in Loup City, where he lived most of the time, until moving to Aurora, where he entered high school, and graduated. He then attended the Lincoln Business College, and took accounting for one year.

On September 1, 1926, he was united in marriage to Hazel O’Brien, at Seward, Nebraska.

He was an insurance agent for a few months, and then began working for Deurmyers Special Service Laboratory, a dental laboratory, which he later owned, and worked there for 41 years. In 1968, he retired, and in September of 1990, he entered the Tabitha Home in Lincoln.

Emmett was an amateur photographer, and belonged to the Lincoln Camera Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Clifford.

He is survived by his wife Hazel of Lincoln; cousins, a niece, nephews and other relatives.
