Hazel Rein

Hazel Rein, age 102, of Aurora, died Sunday, July 1, 2007 at Memorial Community Care in Aurora.

At Hazel’s request there will be no services held. Inurnment will be in the Aurora Cemetery at a later date. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: HAZEL REIN

Hazel Gertrude Rein, the daughter of William and Hannah (Wilson) O’Brien, was born in Aurora, Nebraska on September 28, 1904 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on July 1, 2007, at the age of 102.

She grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School.

Hazel was united in marriage to Emmett Rein on September 1, 1926 at Seward, Nebraska. Following their marriage they lived in Lincoln where she worked at Miller and Paine for over 29 years. Emmett passed away on February 24, 1991. Following his death Hazel moved to Aurora where she lived at Colonial Corners until October of 2005. She was currently living at Memorial Community Care.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Clarence and George and sisters Margaret, Sadie, and Macel.

Those left to cherish her memory are her nephew, John “Jack” O’Brien of Aurora.
