Edith Reisinger

Edith Reisinger, age 86, of Aurora, died Monday afternoon, April 19, 2004, at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 22nd at the United Methodist Church in Aurora. Rev. Seth Leypoldt will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. The family will greet friends from 3:30 to 5:00. OBITUARY: EDITH REISINGER

Edith Corrine Reisinger, the daughter of Ora S. and Florence Virginia (Damoude) Day, was born in Aurora, Nebraska on April 14, 1918 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on April 19, 2004, at the age of 86.

She grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1936. Edith went on to attend the University of Nebraska for two years.

Edith was united in marriage to James M. Reisinger on June 30, 1940 at Aurora. Two sons were born to this union: James and Richard. They moved to Iowa, Minden, Nebraska, Colorado and Lincoln before Edith returned to Aurora in 1981. Edith has made her home at Hamilton Manor since 1987.

Edith was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women's Circle and the Aurora Women's Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Dorothea Clawson, Oral Herbig and Bess Day, a grandson, James Todd Reisinger and a great-granddaughter.

Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, James Arthur (Sandy) Reisinger of Aurora, Colorado and Richard Lee (Kathy) Reisinger of Omaha; 6 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Jean Davis of Billings, Montana.
