OBITUARY: Susie Rennau

Susie May Rennau, the daughter of James and Grace (Deal) Salmon, was born in Hamilton County, Nebraska, on August 1, 1901, and died at Grand Island, Nebraska, on July 15, 1997, at the age of 95 years, 11 months, and 14 days.

She grew up and received her education near Stockham.

On September 12, 1929, she was united in marriage to Claude Rennau, at Minden, Nebraska. They made their home in Aurora, where they lived all their wedded life. Claude preceded her in death on December 6, 1979. For many years she worked at the Aurora water department, assisting with billing, collecting, and bookkeeping. On August 24, 1984, she entered the Nebraska Veteran’s Home in Grand Island, where she has since resided.

Susie was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, had served as a Sunday School Teacher, and belonged to the church circles.

She was precede in death by her parents, husband, one brother Royal Salmon; 2 sisters, Mabel Jensen, and Doris Magers.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Wayne of Alda; a daughter Norma Anderson of Lincoln; 6 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
