Terry Richter
Terry Richter, age 61, of Aurora, died Thursday, January 26, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center in Grand Island. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, January 30th at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Kronborg. Revs. Brian Krause and Bob Stretch will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. OBITUARY: TERRY RICHTER Terry Richter, the son of Roy and JoAnn (Hogeland) Richter, Jr., was born in Denver, Colorado on October 9, 1950 and passed away at Grand Island, Nebraska on January 26, 2012 at the age of 61. Terry grew up in Bloomington and attended schools there and graduated from Marquette High School in 1968. Terry was united in marriage to Rita Hultine on April 2, 1986. Following their marriage they lived in Clay Center and the past 20 years they have lived in Aurora. Terry was an over the road trucker for over 40 years where he worked for Dahlsten Truck Line the majority of the time as an owner/operator. The last five years he was an independent contractor with Aurora Coop. He enjoyed fishing at his cabin in Glen Elder, Kansas and off the bank at the Platte River and spending time with his grandchildren. His latest hobby was Terry’s Trophies and Treasures. He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Russell Hultine. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Rita of Aurora; three daughters, Shelly (Steve) Austin of Lincoln, Marcy Trejo and Bill Rozevink of Grand Island and Mandy Richter and Joe Hawley of Farwell ; faithful companion, Willy his schnauzer; 6 grandchildren, Sydney and Tyson Trejo, Brody and Owen Austin, Morgan and Carter Hawley. He is also survived by his brothers, Rex (Becky) Richter of Aurora, Kim (Cindy) Richter of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Rick Richter and fiancé Pam Johnston of Wathena, Kansas; sisters, Claudia (Richard) Maska of Yankton, South Dakota, Trish (Jerry) Hoegh of Lincoln, Lisa (Todd) Reichardt of Aurora; step-brother, Corey (Jo-Hanna) Goettsche of Lincoln and step-sister, Keri Goettsche of Arizona; step-mother, Peg Richter of Aurora, mother-in-law, Phyllis Hultine of Sutton; brother-in-law, Tom (Cheryl) Hultine of Harvard, sister-in-law, Kathy (Gary) Palmer of Camp Verde, Arizona, several nieces and nephews and many close friends. |
