Erich Ritz

Funeral Services were held 11:00 A.M., Monday, November 29, 1993 at the Aurora Evangelical Covenant Church. Interment was held in the Evergreen Cemetery in Loup City, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Erich Ritz

Erich E. Ritz, the oldest child of George and Ella (Plambeck) Ritz, was born at Rockville, Nebraska, on May 17, 1903, and died at Morrill, Kansas, on November 25, 1993, at the age of 90 years, 6 months, and 8 days.

He grew up and received his education in rural schools near Rockville and Loup City.

On October 24, 1929, he was united in marriage to Marie Schwaderer, at Loup City. They farmed near Loup City, Arcadia and Comstock, and for a short time he was an Allis Chalmers Dealer in Arcadia. In 1946, they moved to Comstock to farm and later moved into town, where he held positions on the village board and served as school board president.

During the early years of their marriage they attended St. Paul’s Evangelical Church, and later attended the Wescott Church, and were charter members of the Wescott Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers, Harry, Clarence, Louis, Rudolph, andGeorge; 2 sisters, Minnie and Margaret, and three great grandsons, Troy Hall, Joshua and Jacob Ritz.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Marie of Aurora; one son Arthur “Bud” and his wife Marian of Siloam Springs, Arkansas; 2 daughters, Carolyn and her husband Ernie Moravec of Morrill, Kansas, and Maxine and her husband Butch Lewin of Aurora; 3 brothers, Arnold, Warren, and Dean; 4 sisters, Elsie Stark, Lydia Camp, Nora Obermiller, and Ruby Pester; 13 grandchildren, 9 of whom are married; 28 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and friends.
