Lucille Roberts

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, December 12, 1994 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Lucille Roberts

Doris Lucille Roberts, the daughter of William and Pearl (Endicott) Keller, was born at Harvard, Nebraska on September 14, 1914, and died at Central City, Nebraska, on December 10, 1994, at the age of 80 years, 2 months, and 26 days.

Lucille grew up near Harvard, where she attended school district #74, and attended Harvard High School.

On February 28, 1934, she was united in marriage to Archie Roberts at Hastings, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on November 16, 1989. They lived on a farm northwest of Giltner for one year, and in 1935 moved to a farm 5 miles west of Aurora, where they lived for 41 years. They moved into Aurora in 1976, where she lived until 1990. She has lived at Community Care of America in Central City for the last four years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, where she had been active in United Methodist Women, was a charter member of the Women’s Society of Christian Service, and had been a member of the Women’s Division of the Board of Missions. She was a member of the Happy Hour Club, and a 30 year member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary, Aerie 378 in Grand Island.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are 3 sons, Dale of Grand Island, Rodney of Aurora, and Kenneth of Lincoln; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
