Marjorie RoehrsFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, September 27, 1988 at Zion Lutheran Church northeast of Hampton. Interment was held in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. OBITUARY: Marjorie Roehrs Marjorie Matilda Roehrs, the daughter of Henry and Helen (Wilshusen) Mundt, was born near Polk, Nebraska, on September 26, 1924, and passed away near Hampton, Nebraska, on September 23, 1988, at the age of 63 years, 11 months, and 27 days. She grew up and attended schools in the Polk area, and graduated from Polk High School. She then taught rural school near Polk. On July 11, 1944, she was united in marriage to Orville Roehrs at the Polk Immanuel Lutheran Church. They began farming northeast of Hampton in 1947, and they moved into Hampton in February of 1988. Marjorie was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Hampton. She enjoyed gardening, working on the farm, working at church, and enjoyed people, especially her husband, children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Carl Mundt. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Orville, of Hampton; 2 sons, Dennis of Hampton and Allan of Bradshaw; 3 daughters, Barbara Stettner and her husband Larry of Hampton, Phyllis Brumbaugh and her husband Frank of Bradshaw and Sharon Goertzen and her husband Kirk of Aurora; one brother Herbert Mundt of Aurora; 4 sisters, Clara Dobberstein of Arcata, California, Laura Berger of Corvallis, Oregon, Marie Wohl of Crete, and Dorothy Bamesberger of Hampton. 8 grandchildren, Rick and Jan Stettner of Aurora, Shauna Stettner of Hampton, Darrin and Dixie Brumbaugh of Bradshaw; Adam, Scott and Michelle Goertzen of Aurora and Tim Robertson of Aurora. |
