Floyd Ross

Floyd Ross, age 79, of Aurora, died Wednesday, December 6, 2000, at Memorial Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday at Faith Community Church in Aurora. Rev. Jerry Breese will officiate. Interment will be at the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation hours will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora.

OBITUARY: FLOYD ROSS

Floyd H. Ross, the son of Adam and Louise (Ross) Ross, was born in Harvard, Nebraska on December 16, 1920 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on December 6, 2000, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 20 days.

Floyd grew up and went to school at Harvard.

Floyd was united in marriage to Verna Cady on April 20, 1949 in Ogallala, Nebraska. He spent his entire life around Harvard and farmed all of his adult life. Floyd and Verna retired from farming and moved to Aurora in 1976. Floyd worked at the Condon Dairy for one year and then worked for the city until 1984. After that time he enjoyed working in his garden and loved taking care of his yard.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Abbie Pulliam and Pauline Brown.

He is survived by his wife, Verna; three sons, Dennis Ross of Lincoln, Terry Ross and his wife Judy and Kevin Ross and his wife Donna both of rural Aurora; four grandchildren, Tabitha Ross of Lincoln and Amanda, Sarah and Seth Ross of Aurora; two sisters, Mary Croft of Arlington, Texas and Elsie Ross of Harvard.
