Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, November 4, 1987 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Gertrude Ross

Gertrude Mary Ross, the daughter of Rufus and Josephine (Goc) Wilson, was born at Loup City, Nebraska, on June 21, 1901, and passed away at Portland, Oregon, on October 29, 1987, at the age of 86 years, 4 months, and 8 days.

She was raised and educated in Giltner and graduated from Giltner High School.

She married Reuben Ross on December 9, 1925, at Hastings. She and her husband farmed near Aurora and were owners and operators of Ross Barber and Beauty Shop in Aurora.

Reuben preceded her in death on March 20, 1971, and after her husband’s death she moved to Portland to be near her sister.

Gertie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother Earl Wilson and a sister Dolly Dean.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her brother, Harry Wilson of Atascadero, California and her sister Wauneta Willis of Portland, Oregon; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and close friends.
