Ethel Russell

Ethel Russell, age 92, of Aurora died Monday morning, June 21, 1999, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday morning at the Aurora Cemetery. Dr. Joe Scahill will officiate. Interment will be in Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M., Tuesday at Higby Mortuary. Memorials are suggested to Hamilton County Senior Service.

OBITUARY: ETHEL RUSSELL

Ethel Gladys Russell, the daughter of John D. Sims and Susie (Rummery) Sims, was born in Mason City, Nebraska on January 24, 1907 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on June 21, 1999, at the age of 92 years, 4 months and 27 days.

She grew up in Custer County and graduated from high school in Mason City, Nebraska.

On January 16, 1928, she was united in marriage to Kenneth L. Russell at Taylor, Nebraska. He worked in the construction business in various cities in Nebraska. They moved to Aurora in 1971 when he retired. Mr. Russell died June 30, 1983.

Ethel was affiliated with the United Methodist Church in Aurora.

Her parents, husband; three brothers; five sisters and one daughter, Betty Norwood preceded her in death.

She is survived by her son; Willard Russell and his wife Mary of Benson, Arizona; eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Tieso of Sunnyvale, California and Beaulah Driml of Alliance, Nebraska.
