Evert SangerFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 1, 1987 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Greenwood Cemetery in Franklin, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Evert Sanger Evert Glen Sanger, the son of William and Opal (Zimmerman) Sanger, was born at Inavale, Nebraska, on February 5, 1936, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 28, 1987, at the age of 51 years, 1 month, and 23 days. He graduated from high school at Lebanon, Kansas, and attended tech school in Kansas City, and then worked for Lipp Motor Company in Franklin. In 1958, he entered the United States Army and served 2 years in the 2nd Armored Division, at Ft. Hood, Texas. On October 16, 1958, he was united in marriage to Eunice Ann Tobiassen at Franklin. They lived at Smith Center, Kansas, and Holdrege, and in 1963, they moved to Aurora where he worked at Grosshans Motors. In 1966, he began driving a truck for Marvin Nielsen, and in 1978 he bought his own truck and began his own trucking business. Evert was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton, and also belonged to the Eagles in Grand Island and the Vintage and Classic Wheels Car Club in Grand Island. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Eunice; 2 sons, Gary and Mike both of Aurora; 3 brothers, Wilmer of Campbell, Ronald of Lexington, and Erold of Alda; his parents William and Opal Sanger of Franklin, and 2 grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. |
