Alice Schell

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 9, 1991 at the Stockham Community Church. Interment was held in the Stockham Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Alice Schell

Harriet Alice Schell, the daughter of George and Leana (Fisher) Negley, was born at Benkleman, Nebraska, on May 11, 1917, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 5, 1991, at the age of 74 years, 1 month, and 24 days, following a short bout with cancer.

She grew up in Benkleman, Eldorado, and Stockham, where she attended school.

On July 4, 1937, she was united in marriage to Edward Schell at Eldorado, Nebraska. Eight children were born to this union. After their marriage they lived in Missouri, and several places in Nebraska, before moving to Stockham in 1945, where they lived until moving to Hordville in 1983, and later to Marquette in 1987.

Alice attended the Stockham Community Church and was baptized on January 16, 1983, by Pastor Paul Nauman. She was also a member of the Stockham Ladies Ministry.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Roy, one granddaughter, one brother Albert Negley, and 3 sisters, Cleo Jensen, Mary Negley, and Sarah Lauhead.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Edward of Marquette; 3 sons, Elmer and Elwin of Grand Island, and Edwin of Phillips; 4 daughters, Mary Inman of Devils Elbow, Missouri, Betty Cushing of Inland, Delberta Sabata of Marquette, and Helen Kliewer of Stockham; 4 brothers, George, Weston and Elmer Negley all of North Platte, and Rodney Negley of Oak Ridge, Oregon; 13 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
