OBITUARY: Alvin Schilz

Alvin Wilbur Schilz, the son of Joseph and Grace (Wilkinson) Schilz, was born at Hays Center, Nebraska, on November 18, 1923, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 20, 1991, at the age of 67 years, 6 months, and 4 days.

He grew up at Culbertson, Nebraska, and attended Culbertson High School. After graduation, he moved to Vallejo, California. From March 25, 1943, to March 21, 1946, he served his country during World War II, in the United States Army. After his discharge he returned to Culbertson, where he farmed and raised horses. He later moved to Grand Island, and was employed as a route driver for Roberts Fairacres Dairy. About 1975, he moved to Aurora, where he has since resided.

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and 2 sisters.

He is survived by one brother, Delbert of Denver, Colorado, one sister, Mildred Heinbigner of Culbertson, many nieces and nephews, and a close friend Dorothy Kaura, of Aurora.
