Lydia SchlegelFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, August 21, 1985 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Richland Cemetery near Marquette, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Lydia Schlegel Lydia Pearl Schlegel, the daughter of Edward and Mathilda (Kuhlmeier) Schlegel, was born at Marquette, Nebraska, on March 3, 1907, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 17, 1985, at the age of 78 years, 5 months and 14 days. Her entire lifetime was spent in the Marquette area where she graduated from the Marquette High School. She lived on a farm near Marquette with her sister Cora until 1975, when they moved into Aurora. The last few years she had lived at the Bethesda Care Center in Central City. Lydia was a member of the Marquette United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers, Elmer, Homer, Harvey and on in infancy and 3 sisters, Sadie Carlson, Amelia Schlegel and Ida Rodabaugh. She is survived by one sister, Cora Schlegel of Aurora and one nephew and 3 nieces. |
