Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 30, 1994 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Leona Schneider

Leona Cecilia Schneider, the daughter of Peter and Rosalie (Prenatt) Darveaux, was born at Rulo, Nebraska, on May 7, 1904, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 27, 1994, at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 20 days.

She grew up in Rulo, and graduated from Rulo High School. After graduation she began serving as a housekeeper for Catholic Priests, including Father Hennessy in Aurora.

On November 4, 1947, she was united in hold matrimony to John Schneider, at Rulo, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on May 31, 1986. After their marriage they lived in Aurora, and for the last few years, she has resided at Colonial Corner in Aurora.

Leona was a longtime and faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic in Aurora, and belonged to St. Mary’s Altar Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John, 3 sisters, and 4 brothers.

She is survived by one sister, Sister Vivian Darveaux of St. Libory, Illinois, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
