Hazel SchneringerHazel Schneringer, age 86, of Aurora died Wednesday afternoon, February 2, 2000, at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Aurora. Dr. Joe Scahill will officiate. Interment will be at Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Friday at Higby Mortuary. OBITUARY: HAZEL SCHNERINGER Hazel Mae Schneringer, the daughter of Walter and Effie (Kelsey) Neth, was born in Odell, Illinois on February 24, 1913 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on February 2, 2000, at the age of 86 years, 11 months and 8 days. She grew up in Custer County in Nebraska, where she attended rural school. Hazel graduated from Callaway High School. She was united in marriage to Howard Schneringer on April 11, 1932. After their marriage they farmed near Callaway. In 1953, they purchased a farm near Broken Bow and lived there until they moved into Broken Bow in 1971. In 1975, they moved to Aurora. Howard passed away in July 1981. Hazel was a member of Aurora United Methodist Church and a member of the Anna Circle and Fidelis Sunday School Class. Her parents, husband, two sisters, Verna Whipple and Daisy Estergard, three brothers, Lynn, LeRoy and Everett Neth preceded her in death. She is survived by her son Allan and his wife Jackie of Brighton, Colorado; daughter, Loretta Leach and her husband Bob of Aurora; two brothers, Eugene Neth of Mason City, Nebraska and Walter Neth, Jr. of Ocala, Florida; 7 grandchildren;9 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild. |
