Leroy SchultzFuneral Services were held 11:00 A.M., Friday, May 14, 1993 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Salem Cemetery southwest of Hampton. OBITUARY: Leroy W. Schultz Leroy W. Schultz, 77 years of age, of R.R. 4, Beatrice, Nebraska, died suddenly at the Beatrice Community Hospital on Monday, May 10, 1993. He was born August 17, 1915 at R.R. Hampton, Nebraska. He worked various farm jobs, worked for construction for three years, was a produce buyer for three years and worked in a machine shop overhauling motors. He then went to work for CB & O Railroad as a section foreman retiring in 1980. He served in the United States Army in the European Theatre from 1942 until 1945 and received the Good Conduct Medal, European Medal and two Battle Stars. He is a former member of the Peace Lutheran Church of Grand Island and the St. Peters Lutheran Church of Hampton. He was currently a member of the First Trinity Lutheran Church of Beatrice. He was a member of Veteran’s of Foreign Wars, Post #1077 of Beatrice, and American Legion Post #27 of Beatrice. Survivors include three daughters, Rita Herald and her husband Edward and Carla Debus and her husband Rondald both of Denver, Colorado, and Karen Stevens and her husband Gerald of Beatrice, Nebraska, two sons, Chief Master Sgt. Gary L. Schultz of Okinawa, Japan and Roger L. Schultz of Beatrice, Nebraska; two brothers, Carol Schultz of Malvern, Iowa and Marvin Schultz of McAlester, Oklahoma, one sister, Mrs. John (Irene) Suppes of Shoshoni, Wyoming; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilhelm John Friedrich and Hattie Clara Marie Conrad Schultz, two brothers Bill and Alden Schultz. |
