William SchultzFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 28, 1985 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: William Schultz William Schultz, the son of William John and Hattie (Wilkins) Schultz, was born in Hamilton County, Nebraska, on November 21, 1921, and passed away at Westlake Village, California, on March 22, 1985, at the age of 63 years, 4 months and 1 day. William grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School. He was united in marriage to Jo Dunbar on December 5, 1942 at Papillion, Nebraska. After their marriage he spent 1 ½ years in Pearl Harbor and 1 year in French Morocco, Africa working for the government. He then owned and operated a garage in Aurora for several years and worked for Phillips Petroleum for several more years. William was elected Hamilton County Sheriff in 1966 and served in that capacity for 16 years. They moved to California in November of 1983 where he went in to real estate sales. William was past president and board member of the Nebraska Sheriffs and peace officers association. He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Aurora Rotary Club and the Aurora Jaycees. He was also an avid bee keeper. He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant brother. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Jo; sons, Ronald and Kenneth, both of Tucson, Arizona; daughter, Jeri Price of Newberry Park, California; brothers, LeRoy of Beatrice, Carol of Falls City and Marvin of McAllister, Oklahoma; sister, Irene Suppis of Shoshone, Wyoming and 6 grandchildren. |
