Emma SenffFuneral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 30, 1990 at Zion Lutheran Church north of Hampton. Interment was held in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. OBITUARY: Emma Senff Emma Dorothea Senff, the daughter of August and Lydia (Baumeister) Werth, was born in Hamilton County, on January 23, 1905, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 27, 1990, at the age of 85 years, 7 months, and 4 days. She grew up in the Hampton area, and on September 5, 1923, she was united in marriage to Henry Senff, at the Zion Lutheran Church northeast of Hampton. They farmed in the Hampton area until 1970, when they retired and moved into Hampton. Henry preceded her in death on January 20, 1989. Emma was baptized January 26, 1905 in Stark, Nebraska, and was confirmed April 3, 1919 at the Zion Lutheran Church, of which she remained a member until her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry; 2 brothers, Walter and Arthur Werth, and a sister Alta Hilligas. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Marvin Senff and his wife Darleen and Ivan Senff and his wife Lila, all of Hampton; one brother Raymond Werth of Aurora; 3 sisters, Helen Clarence of Aurora, Lydia Davis of Grand Island, and Laura Grigsby of St. Paul; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. |
