Frieda Senff

Frieda Senff, age 83, longtime Aurora resident and nurse for Dr. J. M. Woodard, died Wednesday morning at Harvard Rest Haven.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, northeast of Hampton, With Rev. Loren Cooper officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-5 and 7-9 Thursday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora.

OBITUARY: FRIEDA SENFF

Frieda Marie Senff, the daughter of Charles and Martha Marie (Liedtke) Senff, was born in rural York County on April 21, 1916, and died at Harvard Rest Haven on September 22, 1999, at the age of 83 years 5 months and 1 day.

Frieda grew up on the family farm near Hampton and attended Zion Lutheran School. She then moved with her family to Aurora in 1935, where she worked for a short time as a housekeeper for several families. She was then employed as a nurse for Dr. J. M. Woodard until his retirement. In later years she loved to do her yard work, and especially loved her flowers. When Dr. Woodard entered a nursing home, Frieda took charge of the upkeep of the Woodard family home. She had also enjoyed taking and developing pictures of her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Alice DaMoude.

She is survived by a nephew, Leonard DaMoude and his wife LaVerna of Hordville, and two nieces Bonnie Kruse and her husband Roger, and Nancy Keasling and her husband Chuck, all of Aurora: five great nieces and nephews; and four great-great nieces and nephews.
