Ivan Senff

Ivan Senff, age 71, of Hampton died Monday, June 12, 2000, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday at Zion Lutheran Church northeast of Hampton. Rev. Loren Cooper will officiate. Interment will be in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M., Wednesday at Higby Mortuary.

OBITUARY: IVAN SENFF

Ivan Senff, the son of Henry and Emma (Werth) Senff, was born in York County, Nebraska on May 6, 1929 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on June 12, 2000, at the age of 71 years, 1 month and 6 days.

He grew up on a farm in York County. Ivan attended Zion Lutheran Parochial School for 8 years. He was baptized on May 22, 1929 and confirmed on April 18, 1943 by H.W. Degner. He was a lifetime member of the Church.

Ivan was united in marriage to Lila Staehr on June 4, 1950 at St. John’s Lutheran Church near Waco, Nebraska. He farmed in the Hampton area until his retirement in 1991.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marvin.

Survivors include his wife, Lila; five children, Gary Senff of Columbus, Kathy McDonald and her husband Harvey of Hampton, LouAnn Meyers of Aurora, Arthur Senff and his wife Faith of Hampton and Eugene Senff and his wife Connie of Hampton; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
