OBITUARY: Norma Senkbeil

Norma J. Senkbeil, the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Beldin) Schultz, was born at Crete, Nebraska, on November 9, 1918, and passed away at Grand Island, Nebraska, on February 5, 1990, at the age of 71 years, 2 months, and 26 days.

She grew up at Crete, where she attended school, except for her senior year, where she graduated from Lincoln High School. She lived in Lincoln until her marriage.

On November 14, 1941, she was united in marriage to Arthur Senkbeil, at Hiawatha, Kansas. Her husband worked on construction, and they lived many places where his work took him. They retired at Boulder, Colorado, then moved to Osceola, and later to Johnson Lake for about 8 years. In 1986 they moved to Aurora.

Norma was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton, and was also active with the Hospital Auxiliary, the Hamilton Manor Auxiliary, AARP, and the Senior Citizen Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one infant son Timothy.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Arthur of Aurora; one son, Lynn Senkbeil of Lincoln; 2 step-sons, Richard Senkbeil of Dallas, Texas and James Senkbeil of Grand Island; one step-daughter, Karen Parish of Gering, Nebraska; 3 grandchildren and 9 step-grandchildren.
