Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 1, 1992 at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Nadine Sherard

Nadine Jenny Sherard, the daughter of William and Elsie (Schwenk) Becker, was born at Grand Island, Nebraska, on January 6, 1920, and died at Omaha, Nebraska, on January 29, 1992, at the age of 72 years and 23 days.

She grew up near Grand Island, and attended country school, and later lived in Grand Island, until her marriage.

On January 21, 1941, she was united in marriage to Emerson Sherard, at Grand Island. They had celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They lived in Cairo and Chapman, and in 1947, they moved to a farm near Giltner, and in 1973, they moved into Giltner.

Nadine was a member of the Giltner United Methodist Church, and belonged to the church circle. She also belonged to the Giltner Birthday Club and the Greenwood Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a daughter, Vicki Kay.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Emerson, of Giltner; 2 sons, Gerald and his wife Fran of Lakewood, Colorado, and Dwight of Giltner; one brother, Clarence Becker and one sister Viola Knuth (Mrs. Roy) both of Grand Island, and 2 grandchildren, Debbie and John.
