Louise Basore Sherwood

Louise R. Basore Sherwood, 74, of Hutchinson died December 11, 2010 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. She was born July 15, 1936 in Aurora, Nebraska, the daughter of Russell & Mildred Christenson Holloway. She attended school in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1953. She attended the United Methodist Church in Aurora. She owned and managed a furniture store in Aurora for several years. After moving to Hutchinson, she was a receptionist for Dr. Nanny's office for 15 years. She married Jerry D. Basore on May 26, 1958 in Aurora. He died Sept. 19, 2000. She later married John Sherwood on Febr. 6, 2002 in Las Vegas. He survives. Other survivors include a son Tom Basore and his wife Gayle, Newton; a daughter Cindy McFeeters and her husband Ronald, Hutchinson; a step-son Doug Sherwood; 3 step-daughters Kathy Baker and her husband Mike, Pam Tuxhorn and her husband Ed, and Connie Romesburg and husband Fred, all of Hutchinson; 1 grandson Elijah Basore; 9 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Paula Basore.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 17 at the Elliott Mortuary with Chaplain Sara Blodgett presiding. A memorial service will also be held on Tuesday, Dec. 21st at 10:00 a.m. at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora, Nebraska with Pastor Mary Scott officiating. Inurnment to follow at the Aurora City Cemetery in Aurora.
