Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, May 31, 1995 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held at Pleasant View Cemetery near Pickrell, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Mary Siems

Mary Aubrey Siems, the daughter of Thomas and Mary (Strough) Harding, was born at Pickrell, Nebraska, on September 29, 1897, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on May 28, 1995, at the age of 97 years, 7 months, and 29 days.

She grew up at Pickrell, where she attended school, and later attended York College.

On February 22, 1922, she was united in marriage to C. Herman Siems at Pickrell. He preceded her in death on July 16, 1967. They farmed near Pickrell the first 4 years of their married life, then lived in Pickrell and Beatrice until 1947, when they moved Boulder, Colorado. In 1962, they retired and moved to rural Marquette, Nebraska, to be near their daughter. In 1984, she moved into Aurora.

While living in Aurora, she was affiliated with the Evangelical Covenant Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one infant son.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her daughter, Mary Jane Harney and her husband Don of Aurora; 2 grandchildren, Diane Schutt of Omaha, and Daryl Harney of Marquette; and 3 great grandchildren, Tom and Danielle Harney and Jennifer Harney.
