Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 27, 1989 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: David Smith

David Wesley Smith, the son of Wesley and Mabel (Springer) Smith, was born in Hamilton County, Nebraska, on April 15, 1930, and passed away at his home, southwest of Aurora, on June 24, 1989, at the age of 59 years, 2 months, and 9 days.

He attended country school, and graduated from Aurora High School.

On April 24, 1949, he was united in marriage to June Marquardt, at York, Nebraska.

He had farmed all his life, and also sold seed corn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Smith.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife June, of Aurora; one son Sidney of Hermosa Beach, California; 3 daughters, Leslie Biggs of Sidney, Rhonda Rail of Hastings, and Theresa Hager of Red Oak, Iowa. One sister, Barbara Dietrich of Marquette; his mother, Mabel Smith of Aurora; 6 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
