Lloyd Sorenson, age 78, formerly of Aurora, died Tuesday, April 1, 2003, at his home in Tucson, Arizona.

OBITUARY: LLOYD SORENSON

Lloyd Sorenson, the son of Charles and Iva Sorenson, was born in Phillips, Nebraska on April 29, 1924 and died in Tucson, Arizona on April 1, 2003, at the age of 78 years.

The family moved to Aurora where Lloyd graduated from Aurora High School in 1942. He served in the Air Corps from 1942 to 1946. Lloyd attended the University of Nebraska for two years before he returned to Aurora.

Loyd was united in marriage to Shirley Tivis on May 22, 1951. He left Aurora to continue his education. He graduated from the University of Denver and then worked for United Air Lines and Rockwell-Collins International until he retired in Tucson in 1985.

Lloyd was a member of the Aurora Masonic Lodge for 54 years and he later joined the Consistory and Shrine.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert is survived by his wife, Shirley of Tucson, Arizona and his niece, Julie Pellymounter and family.
