Memorial Services were held 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 19, 1998 at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Ft. McPherson National Cemetery in Maxwell, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Kelly Spotts

Kelly Dean Spotts, the son of Charles W. Spotts and Margaret (White) Moore, was born at Jefferson, Iowa, on September 21, 1962, and died at his home in Phillips, Nebraska, on June 16, 1998, at the age of 35 years, 8 months, and 26 days.

He spent most of his life in Giltner, and graduated from Giltner High School in 1981. Her served in the United States Army as a military policeman form 1983 to 1987.

On November 4, 1996, he was united in marriage to Samantha Schrock of Giltner, at Aurora. They had recently moved to Phillips, where he was employed as an over the road trucker.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Charles E. Spotts, maternal grandparents Verlyn and Edith White, his step-grandparents Oscar and Mary Moore, one niece and one nephew.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Samantha, and one daughter, Savannah of Phillips; a son Kyle, and a step-daughter Krystle Smith, of Giltner; his mother Margaret (Charley) Moore of Giltner, his father Charles W. Spotts, of Des Moines, Iowa; two brothers, Joe Moore of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Specialist Larry Moore of Ft. Lee Virginia; three sisters, Mrs. Mike (Terry ) Roberts of Giltner, Mrs. Gary (Barb) Braun and Mrs. Brad (Donna) Rasmussen all of Minden; his paternal grandmother, Jaunita Spotts of Ames, Iowa; 5 step-sisters, Karla Thacher, Linda Johnson, Marie Bennett, Connie Andreas, Christy Bruce, and many other relatives and friends.
