Bessie Springer
Bessie Springer, age 80, of Aurora, died Friday morning, May 25, 2001 at Hamilton Manor. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday at the Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Rev. Rick Prettyman and Rev. Jim Garfield will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M., Monday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora. OBITUARY: BESSIE SPRINGER Bessie Maxine Springer, the daughter of John C. and Sue (Schenk) Oswald, was born in Hamilton County, Nebraska on October 8, 1920 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on May 25, 2001, at the age of 80 years. She grew up in Hamilton County and graduated from Aurora High School. Bessie taught country school for 2 years. Bessie was united in marriage to Paul Richard Springer on May 8, 1942 at Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. They farmed in the Aurora/Giltner community before moving to Aurora in 1953. They owned and operated Springer Oil Company for a number of years. She enjoyed camping and family activities. Bessie was a member of Pleasant View Bible Church. Bessie was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Earl and John Oswald. Bessie is survived by her husband, Paul Springer of Aurora; four daughters, Judy Swenson of Lincoln, Connie Yeutter and her husband Jerome P. of Branson, Missouri, Carolyn Johnston and her husband James of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Patricia Peters and her husband Reynold of Beach Park, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Troyer of Aurora. |
