Esther StalnakerFuneral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 25, 1994 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Esther Stalnaker Esther Stalnaker, the daughter of Uriah and Marjane (Christiansen) Bush, was born on a farm west of Marquette, on May 9, 1901, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 22, 1994, at the age of 92 years, 9 months, and 13 days. She grew up near Marquette, and attended the Marquette Schools. On May 13, 1925, she was united in marriage to Charles Stalnaker at Grandy, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on August 29, 1978. In 1930, they moved to Scottsbluff, and in 1942, they returned to a farm near Marquette, and later retired and moved into Marquette. The past few years, she has resided at the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Esther was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Her survivors include a daughter, Patricia Shifflet, of Standardsville, Virginia, and nieces and nephews. |
