Violet Stettner

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Friday, September 8, 1995 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Hampton Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Violet Stettner

Violet Helen Stettner, the daughter of Carl and Martha (Troester) Babesberger, was born at Hampton, Nebraska, on March 18, 1919, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 6, 1995, at the age of 76 years, 5 months, and 18 days.

She grew up in Hampton, attended St. Peter Parochial School and graduated from Hampton High School. Following High School she worked as a house keeper in York.

On November 22, 1942, she was united in marriage to Milton Stettner at Santa Monica, California. They lived in Santa Monica and Hampton. Milton preceded her in death on June 22, 1972.

She had worked as a cook in the Hampton Parochial School, restaurants, and the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

Violet was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton and belonged to the Eunice Circle of LWML. She was also a member of the Hampton Legion Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son Bruce Stettner in 1980.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Larry and his wife Barbara of Hampton; 2 brothers, Harold Bamesberger and his wife Florence of Hampton, and Louis Bamesberger and his wife Velma of Aurora; 2 grandchildren, Rick Stettner and his wife Tracy of Hampton, and Shawna Friesen of Aurora; 4 great grandchildren, Tommy Stettner, Aaron, Collin, and Cy Friesen. A sister-in-law Stella Kaiser of York and a brother-in-law Pete Brumbaugh of Bradshaw.
