Frank SullivanFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, April 28, 1992 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Kronborg, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Frank Sullivan Frank Joseph Sullivan, the son of William and Margaret (Nirmaier) Sullivan, was born at Grand Island, Nebraska on December 25, 1927, and died at Grand Island, Nebraska on April 25, 1992, at the age of 64 years and 4 months, after a bout with cancer. He attended District #37, west Hamilton School, and graduated from the Giltner High School in 1945. After graduation he attended Hastings College. He served his country in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1946. Frank farmed all his life, first in the Doniphan area and then moving to the Phillips area in 1967. On November 23, 1972, he was united in marriage to Judith (Sehnert) Olsen, at Aurora. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Giltner, and belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He also belonged to the Doniphan American Legion. Frank enjoyed woodworking, hunting, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Dave and Jim. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Judy of Phillips; 3 step-sons, Todd Olsen and his wife Barb of Aurora, Roger Olsen and his wife Rita of Aurora, and Chuck Olsen and his wife Mary of Omaha; one step-daughter, Nancy Mattison and her husband Dave of Aurora; 2 brothers, Larry of Giltner and Dennis of Doniphan; 2 sisters, Tess Sobnosky of Youngstown, Ohio and Margaret Zenter of Arlington Heights, Illinois; 4 step-grandsons, Mitch, Matt, and Daniel Olsen, and Tyler Mattison; and 2 step-grand daughters, Alicia and Adriana Olsen. |
