Funeral Services were held 9:30 A.M., Tuesday, January 24, 1989 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Siloah Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Rhoda Sundberg

Rhoda Caroline Sundberg, the daughter of Axel and Mathilda (Carlson) Gustafson, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 18, 1897, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 21, 1989, at the age of 92 years and 3 days.

She grew up northwest of Aurora, and attended school district #82. She worked in Aurora for several years as a housekeeper for several families.

On April 17, 1918, she was united in marriage to Aaron Sundberg at Aurora. He preceded her in death on July 9, 1954. After their marriage they farmed northwest of Aurora and in October of 1960 she moved into Aurora. She has resided at the Memorial Care Center in Aurora since 1985.

Rhoda was a member of the Siloah Mission Covenant Church, and was baptized and confirmed in that church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Amy Grandorff and 2 brothers Carl and Edwin.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Earl of Aurora; one sister Lucille Padgette of Payette, Idaho; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
