OBITUARY: Irene Swanson

Irene Maude Swanson, the daughter of Carl J. and Maude Weaver Swanson, was born at Aurora, Nebraska on June 6, 1911. Her death occurred at her home in Aurora on September 24, 1979 at the age of 68 years 3 months and 18 days.

The family resided on a farm near Giltner until the death of her father in 1926 when she and her mother moved into Aurora, where she has since resided. She received her education in the Aurora Public Schools.

After her schooling, she had cared for her aging mother and had worked at domestic work until the time of her death.

Her parents had preceded her in death.

She is survived by one half sister, Mrs. Doris Miller of Aurora; and two cousins, Ted Swanson of Kearney and Mrs. Alice Ann Johnson of Polk, Nebraska.
