O'Neil Sweeney, Jr.

O’Neil Sweeney, Jr., age 60, of York, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Nebraska Heart Institute in Lincoln.

Graveside Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 2nd at the Monroe Evangelical Free Church Cemetery north of Murphy. Pastor Jim Garfield will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. OBITUARY: O’NEIL SWEENEY, JR.

O’Neil Stanley Sweeney, Jr., the son of O’Neil Stanley and Shirley (Anderson) Sweeney, Sr., was born in Grand Island, Nebraska on October 31, 1950 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 23, 2011, at the age of 60.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Shana Sweeney and fiancé Leonard Logston of York, son, Derek Sweeney of York and daughter, Dana Sweeney of York; three brothers, Brad (Diane) Sweeney of Marquette, Doug (Sandi) Sweeney of Grand Island and Matt (Ginella) Sweeney of Randolph; three grandchildren, Brice Logston, Shelby Logston and Jayden Sweeney and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
