Elizabeth TallonFuneral Services were held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 4, 1990 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Fullerton Catholic Cemetery in Fullerton, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Elizabeth Tallon Elizabeth Barbara Tallon, the oldest daughter of Paul and Mary (Dolce) Krick, was born at Spaulding, Nebraska, on February 17, 1903, and passed away at Omaha, Nebraska, on December 1, 1990, at the age of 87 years, 9 months, and 14 days. She grew up and attended school at Spaulding, graduating from Spaulding Academy. After graduation, she taught country school at Pibel Lake, near Spaulding. On January 28, 1930, she was united in holy matrimony to Joseph Verle “Jack” Tallon, at Spaulding. He preceded her in death on July 19, 1987. After her marriage they farmed for 25 years in the Fullerton area, and in 1965, they moved to Aurora, where Jack was employed by the Co-op. In October of 1988, she moved to Omaha, where she has since resided. Elizabeth had been an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora, and belonged to the church circle. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Thomas, one brother and 2 sisters. Those who remain to cherish her memory are one brother, Paul Krick, of Omaha; 3 sisters, Hattie Weber and Agatha McCumber, both of Omaha, and Paula Connelly of Grand Island; a granddaughter, Angie Tallon of Broken Bow, and her mother Madeline Dye of Denver, Colorado, and many nieces and nephews. |
