Glen TaylorFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 9, 1990 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Harvard Cemetery in Harvard, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Glen Taylor Glen E. Taylor, the son of John and Stella (Rath) Taylor, was born at Eldorado, Nebraska, on November 28, 1912, and passed away at Lincoln, Nebraska, on April 5, 1990, at the age of 77 years, 4 months, and 7 days. He grew up around Eldorado and Harvard and attended Eldorado school. On August 29, 1938, he was united in marriage to Wilma Griess at Bellville, Kansas. They farmed in the Eldorado and Harvard areas, and in 1979, they moved to Aurora. Glen was a member of the Harvard United Church of Christ, and enjoyed fishing and hunting, and belonged to the Harvard Rod & Gun Club and a Central City Gun Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, Marie Upp, Veda Jones, and Helen Taylor, and one brotehr, Jack Taylor. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Wilma of Aurora; a son Jim and his wife LaVonne of Harvard; one brother LaVerne (Bud) of Grand Island; 2 sisters, Ruth Farquor of San Diego, California, and Ione Pauley of Billings, Montana; one grandson, John and his wife Laura of Ravenna; 2 great grandchildren, Michelle Ann and Ray Glen, and nieces and nephews. |
