OBITUARY: Leona Taylor

Leona Taylor, the daughter of Henry and Lizzie (Rutti) Toedter, was born in Marysville, Kansas on October 15, 1911 and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska on July 21, 1988 at the age of 76 years, 9 months and 6 days.

Leona was united in marriage to Bernell (James) Taylor on May 10, 1936.

She taught country school prior to her marriage. After they were married they farmed near Marysville until her husbands death on June 30, 1972. She moved to Aurora in 1973 to be near her daughter and in 1974 she moved to the Hamilton Manor.

Leona was a member of the United Church of Christ in Marysville and attended the United Methodist Church in Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter Joyce (Don) Kupfersmith of Aurora; sisters Iola Hafter of Marysville, Kansas and Irene Johnson of Home, Kansas; and 3 grandchildren.
