Wilma Taylor

Wilma Taylor, age 92, formerly of Harvard, died Thursday, May 12, 2005, at Memorial Community Care in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 16th at the Chapel of Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Rev. Stan Crawford will officiate. Interment will be in the Harvard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. Sunday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Harvard United Church of Christ. OBITUARY: WILMA TAYLOR

Wilma Taylor, the daughter of William and Wilhemena (Jassman) Griess, was born at Stockham, Nebraska on July 28, 1912 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on May 12, 2005, at the age of 92.

She attended Stockham school and graduated from Stockham High School in 1930.

Wilma was married to Glen Taylor on August 29, 1938 at Belleville, Kansas. They farmed in the Eldorado and Harvard areas, and in 1979, they moved to Aurora. Glen passed away on April 5, 1990.

Wilma was a member of the Harvard United Church of Christ, Justamere Club and Blue Valley Club. She loved to cook for her family and travel when she could.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters and one brother.

Wilma is survived by her son, Jim (LaVonne) Taylor of Harvard; grandson, John (Laura) Taylor of Taylor; four great-grandchildren, Michelle, Ray, Kelli Jo and Jack Taylor and nieces and nephews.
