Don Tessman

Don Tessman, age 56, of Aurora, died Friday, May 9, 2008, at the Hamilton Manor.

Funeral Services will be held 10:30 A.M., Monday, May 12th at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Rev. Monty Nelson and Rev. Richard Karohl will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: DON TESSMAN

Don Neil Tessman, the son of John J. and Marie (Hefty) Tessman, was born in Henderson, Nebraska on November 27, 1951 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on May 9, 2008, at the age of 56.

He grew up in Stockham and graduated from Aurora High School Class of 1970.

On September 16, 1972, he was united in marriage to Cindy Kliewer at the United Methodist Church in Giltner. Don worked for Windmill Plaza Texaco for two years, while also working at New Holland in Grand Island until 1978. Don purchased the Grandview Café & Lounge in September of 1978, which he operated until he was unable due to his health.

Don loved spending time at the lake with his family and friends. He enjoyed hosting the Grandview Golf Tournament for the last nine years. Don was a member of the Presbyterian U.C.C.

He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, John Fox, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his two children, Jeff Tessman of Aurora and Dawn Werth of Hampton; ex-wife, Cindy Tessman of Aurora; 4 grandchildren, Alisha Castro, Bailey Tessman, Dylan Werth and Briana Werth. He is survived by two brothers, Marvin (Karen) Tessman of Sutton and John D. (Olene) Tessman of Stockham; two step-brothers, Larry (Jolene) Fox of Aurora and David (Pam) Fox of Oregon; two step-sisters, Sandy (Jim) Heffelfinger of Aurora and Ginny (Chris) Childers of Marquette and numerous nieces and nephews.
