Hazel ThomasFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 5, 1983 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Hazel Thomas Hazel Belle Thomas, the daughter of Melvin and Gertrude (Richards) Lentz, was born at Aurora, Nebraska, on March 17, 1905, and departed this life at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 2, 1983, at the age of 78 years and 25 days. The family moved to near Stockham and then later to a farm at Hampton, where she grew to young womanhood. She attended the Hampton High School and later moved to Aurora where she resided until her death. On March 1, 1934, she was united in marriage to Earl W. Thomas at Grand Island. He preceded her in death on January 22, 1973. She was a faithful member of the Assembly of God Church in Aurora. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers and one sister. Those who survive to cherish her memory are 2 brothers, Lloyd Lentz of Aurora and Orville Lentz of Altsville, California; one sister Lorena Kirkpatrick of Story, Wyoming and nieces and nephews and other relatives and close friends. |
