Adeline Thompson

Adeline Thompson, age 94, of Aurora died Tuesday, January 12, 2010, at Memorial Community Care.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 15th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Fr. Dennis Hunt will officiate. Interment will be in St. Ludger’s Cemetery at Creighton, Nebraska at 3:00 P.M. Visitation will be one prior to service, with the Rosary at 9:30 A.M. OBITUARY: ADELINE THOMPSON

Adeline J. Thompson, the daughter of John and Anna (Uhing) Wortman, was born on a farm in Antelope County, Nebraska on June 11, 1915 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on January 12, 2010, at the age of 94.

She attended school at Sunny Side in Neligh through the 10th grade.

Adeline was married to George F. Thompson at Brunswick, Nebraska and they had one daughter. George passed away in 1963.

Adeline was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora, the Cursillo and V.F.W. Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband and seven brothers, Leo, John, Edward, Henry, Ken, Richard and Leonard Wortman.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sister Dolorita Thompson of Fort Smith, Arkansas; two sisters, Edith Shuckman of Lexington and Marcella Wies of Lincoln; two sisters-in-law, Marilyn Wortman of Aurora and Margaret Wortman of Lexington and many nieces and nephews.
