Margaret ThompsonFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 28, 1987 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Margaret Thompson Margaret Thompson, the daughter of H. Lee and Mary (James) Foster, was born at Garden City, Kansas, on August 2, 1929, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 26, 1987, at the age of 58 years and 24 days. She attended school in Madison and Wichita, Kansas. On February 24, 1946, she was united in marriage to Norman Victor Thompson, at Winfield, Kansas. After her marriage they lived in Kansas, Chicago, Eldorado, Kansas, then Geneva and Clearwater, Nebraska, and in 1961 they moved to Aurora. “Maggie” worked at Inez restaurant for many years, and managed the kitchen at the Hamilton Motor Inn for several years. From 1971 to 1974 she owned and operated the SYA café. She was preceded in death by her father and one sister Marian Foster. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Vic, of Aurora; 2 sons, Michael of Sutton and Norman V. of Alta Vista, Kansas; 2 daughters, Stephanie Penner and Dawn Haymart, both of Aurora; one brother Bernard Foster of Kansas City, Kansas; one sister Mary Jane Foster of Wichita, Kansas; her mother Mary Foster of Wichita, Kansas, and 11 grandchildren. |
