Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 5, 1983 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Phillips Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Rose Thurber

Rose Thurber, the daughter of George and Minnie (Hinrickus) Eihusen, was born at Roseland, Nebraska, on June 30, 1927, and passed away at Columbus, Nebraska, on July 1, 1983, at the age of 56 years and 1 day.

She grew up in the Roseland and Hastings area.

In 1943 she was united in marriage to Albert Thurber at Phillipsburg, Kansas. After her marriage they lived in Nelson for 2 to 3 years, and then moved to Grand Island, and later to Phillips. For the past 17 years she had been in nursing homes.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Eagles Lodge in Grand Island.

She was preceded in death by her mother and one son James.

Those who survive to mourn her passing are her husband Albert; three sons, Stanley of Doniphan, Tom of Wichita Falls, Texas and Scott of Phillips; one step-daughter Alberta Alberts of Doniphan; one brother Virgil Eihusen of Grand Island; her father George Eihusen of Rockport, Texas and one grandchild.
