Ethel Titman

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, July 12, 1983 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Mrs. Ethel Titman

Ethel E. Titman, the daughter of John W. and Katherine Dolan Eastabrooks, was born at Greeley, Nebraska, on June 2, 1906. Her death occurred at Aurora, Nebraska on July 9, 1983 at the age of 77 years, 1 month and 7 days.

As a small girl the family moved to Garrison, Nebraska and later came to Aurora. She received her education in the public schools of Garrison and Aurora.

At an early age she was baptized and later confirmed in the Catholic Faith and has been a faithful member of St. Mary’s Parish for many years, being active in the Altar Society of the Church and in her attendance at church services. She was also active in the American Legion Auxiliary and the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and spent many hours in the Hospital Thrift Shop and as a Pink Lady at the hospital.

In 1937 she was united in marriage to H. Everett Titman at Pueblo, Colorado. They resided in Colorado until 1946, when they came to Aurora, where her husband operated a tire service. For many years she was a teller in the Farmer’s State Bank in Aurora until her retirement. Her husband preceded her in death on June 2, 1959.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and one brother, Loran Eastabrooks.

Her only survivors are one brother, John Eastabrooks and his wife Lucille of Lincoln and other relatives and many close friends who will cherish her memory.
