Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M, Monday, January 31, 1994 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Daisy Travis

Daisy Wauneta Travis, the daughter of Lorenzo and Minnie (Gnauden) Misner, was bonr at Hampton, Nebraska, on December 10, 1902, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 27, 1994, at the age of 91 years, 1 month, and 17 days.

She grew up in the Hampton area, and attended the Hampton Schools.

On August 3, 1921, she was united in marriage to Ortha G. Travis, at Hastings. He preceded her in death on July 30, 1958. To this union 5 children were born. They made their home in Hampton.

Daisy worked in Aurora with her sister Cora Bittinger at Cora’s Café, and after her retirement she lived in Hampton, until 1988, when her health failed and she moved into the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

She was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church.

Those who preceded her in death are her parents, husband, 2 sisters, Cora M. Bittinger and Myrtle Amsberry, and 2 sons, Wallace and Gary Travis.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 3 sons, Deryl Travis and his wife Marjorie of Lincoln, Bill Travis and his wife Mildred of Peyton, Colorado, and James Travis and his wife Lola of York; 18 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
