OBITUARY: Daniel Traxler

Daniel Anthony Traxler, the son of Patricia (Grabowski) Traxler, wss born at Glasgow, Montana, on March 25, 1974, and died near New Castle, Nebraska, on December 4, 1998, at the age of 24 years, 8 months, and 9 days.

He grew up and graduated from Aurora High School with the class of 1992. Following graduation he worked in sales and lived in several states. In 1996, he moved to Grand Island, and was employed by Diamond Plastics. In 1998, he began operating heavy equipment for a highway construction company in northeast Nebraska.

In high school he was active in TADA, and anti drug campaign. Painting and drawing were a special interest in his life. He was chosen to design the first Aurora Court House Christmas ornament, which is an on going series. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mudding with his jeep.

He was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tony and Marie Grabowski and his father, David.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his mother, Patricia Traxler; two brothers, David and Patrick, all of Grand Island; a niece Hope; aunts and uncles, Joan Gilbert and Paul Grabowski of Aurora; Susan and Jerry Stahr of York, and many other relatives and friends.
