Esther Troester

Funeral Services were held 3:00 P.M., Friday, February 7, 1997 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Interment was held in the Salem Cemetery in Hampton, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Esther Troester

Esther Emma Troester, the daughter of Henry and Jennie (Wiemers) Heider, was born at Poole, Nebraska on August 23, 1911, and died at Aurora, Nebraska on February 5, 1997 at the age of 85 years, 5 months, and 12 days.

Esther grew up and attended school near Poole, and later moved with her family to Aurora. She lived for awhile in Davenport, Iowa before returning to Aurora.

On April 7, 1948, she was united in marriage to Leonard Troester at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aurora.

After their marriage they farmed in Hamilton County near Hampton. Leonard died on April 19, 1988. Esther moved to the Hamilton Manor in Aurora in October of 1995.

She was an active member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Aurora, where she had faithfully served in many areas, including the LWMS ladies group. She had been baptized and confirmed as a child in her church at Poole.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters Clara, Tilla, Mildred, and Martha; and 4 brothers, John, Walter, Martin, and a brother in infancy.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, Myron of Marquette, Richard and his wife Ann of Gothenburg, her daughter Jennifer Hoffman and her husband James of Lincoln, 1 brother Paul Heider of Gibbon, 2 sisters, Amanda Gruhn of Kearney and Lydia Fielder of Hobbs, New Mexico, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
