Elsie Troester

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 15, 1987 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Hampton Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Elsie Troester

Elsie Johanna Troester, the daughter of August and Minna (Sievers) Saeger, was born at Fremont, Nebraska, on September 20, 1900, and passed away at her home in Hampton on July 12, 1987, at the age of 86 years, 9 months, and 22 days.

She lived her early life in Fremont, and graduated from Fremont High School, and attended Midland College in Fremont. She taught school in Hampton.

On August 1, 1923, she was united in marriage to Dr. Otto M. Troester, at Fremont. They lived in Hampton where Dr. Troester practiced for over 50 years. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1977.

Elsie was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, St. Peter Lutheran Missionary Society, and the County and State Medical Societies.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved step-mother, Caroline, her husband, Dr. M. Troester and 3 brothers, Pastor Alfred Saeger, and Victor and Rolland Saeger.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 3 sons; Dr. O.S. Troester and his wife LaVerda of Lincoln; James Troester and his wife Eileen of Prairie Village, Kansas and R. Michael Troester and his wife Audrey of Lincoln; 7 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and other relatives and close friends.
